Clinical Safety and Efficacy Testing
MD Lash Factor ® Eyelash Conditioner
Ocular & Systemic Safety Profile
- Ocular Tolerance: In a four-week evaluation of 35 subjects under ophthalmologist supervision, no potential for eliciting ophthalmic irritation was demonstrated under study conditions. The panel included contact lens wearers, non-wearers and subjects with self-assessed sensitive eyes.
- Ophthalmic Examination: No clinically significant change in visual acuity, corneal health or tear film was observed over the four-week study.
- Intraocular Pressure (IOP): No clinically significant change in intraocular pressure was observed under study conditions.
- Toxicological Assays: Confirmed Non-Mutagenic (Ames Assay), Non-Cytotoxic (Agarose Overlay), and Non-Sensitizing (LLNA - Murine Local Lymph Node Assay).
Independent safety assessment. Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 replaced Council Directive 76/768/EEC in July 2013. Reviewer Dr. John Hopkins (BSc. PhD. MSB. C Biol.) evaluated:
- Toxicological profiles and chemical structures of each ingredient.
- Specific exposure characteristics for the intended application area.
- Absence of prohibited, restricted, or improperly characterized substances.
MD® Brow
- Self-Assessed Appearance: 78% of participants in a 56-day consumer-use study agreed their eyebrows seemed thicker. Self-assessment questionnaire responses; density was not measured.
- Condition & Texture: In the same self-assessment questionnaire, 87% agreed their eyebrows seemed healthier and better hydrated, and 78% agreed their brows seemed better conditioned.
- Tolerability: 87% of participants reported no irritation of the eyes or skin during the study.

MD Nutri Hair Supplements
- Office-Based Review: 30-day observational review of 30 subjects confirmed high compliance and early improvements in hair strength and quality.
- Bioavailability Confirmation: Independent analytical testing (using data-file response ratios and ISTD comparisons) verified the stability and bioavailability of core active ingredients, ensuring effective nutrient delivery.
MD® Scalp Essential
- Scalp Health: Demonstrated marked decrease in visible flaking and reduction in excess sebum (oil) production.
- Irritation Relief: Significant clinical reduction in self-reported scalp itching and redness.
- Dermatological Safety: In a 50-subject repeat insult patch test, no sensitisation was observed under study conditions.
